Basement Dread

Friday night. After a long week, you finally have the chance to relax. You settle into your favorite armchair, ready to dive into the novel you've been eagerly waiting to read. As you turn the first page, a loud crash echoes from the basement.

Startled, you freeze, heart pounding in your chest. The sound is followed by a low, unsettling growl. You know you live alone, and the doors and windows were locked.

The dim light in the living room casts long, eerie shadows that seem to dance with your rising anxiety. The basement door is slightly ajar, a dark chasm leading into the unknown.

Your phone is on the coffee table, but the basement is only a few steps away. The growl grows louder, more menacing.

You must act now, before whatever is down there comes up to you.
